Stainless Steel Chain Wheels
Stainless steel chain wheels can be used to extend the operating life of chain wheels in harsh operating environments, which often require an additional degree of protection for chain wheels. For this reason Stainless steel chain wheels are often specified for use in corrosive environments, or where they are subjected to exposure to chemicals, extreme temperature or humidity
Stainless steel chain wheels also prove ideal for use in high moisture environments (such as offshore or marine) where corrosion resistance is especially important. The entire CL Series line of chain wheels is available in stainless steel, with all components of the chain wheel constructed of 316 stainless steel.
- Stainless Steel Clamp-on Chain Sprocket fits hand wheel sizes from 2 to 30 inches in diameter
- Clamps on to existing hand wheel for safe, effective manual valve operation
When ordering, provide diameter of existing hand wheel and length of chain required.

CAUTION:
- Whenever a chain wheel is installed, provision must be made to KEEP THE VALVE HANDWHEEL RETAINING NUT FROM BACKING OFF THE STEM. This best done by installing a SET SCREW that secures the nut to the stem.
- All chain wheel installations, regardless of age, must be regularly inspected as part of the user’s Safety/Maintenance Procedures. Set screws and other threaded fasteners MUST be secure and tight.
- As an additional safeguard, Roto Hammer strongly recommends that ALL chain wheels be fitted with an appropriately sized Roto Hammer RCK Safety Cable Kit available from H & N Supplies.
